College Admissions Portfolio Services
I’m a former faculty member at NSU University School in Davie, FL. I taught high school AP Drawing, AP 2D Art & Design, Advanced Art Honors (2D), Introductory & Intermediate Drawing & Painting. In addition to teaching, I was the Visual Arts Department Team Leader, overseeing the National Arts Society and all external student contests and exhibitions for our visual arts students. Before teaching, I worked in creative marketing for 20+ years in NYC and Miami. I left marketing to pursue my passion as an artist and educator and have spent the past 7 years working as a professional artist and art educator in South Florida.
Applying to art school is an extremely competitive process, and there is an “art” to creating an exceptional portfolio that schools are looking for. I work with students who are interested in applying to Fine Art, Architecture, Animation, Interior Design, and Fashion programs. My students have been admitted into FIT, Vassar, Boston University, USC, Tulane, Michigan, Syracuse, and Boulder art programs.

I have designed two programs for students as many college counselors are not qualified or offer expertise regarding the college portfolio process. The Head Start program helps prepare students who plan to go to art school how to plan from as early as freshman and sophomore year for the admissions process. It's not uncommon for students to find their artistic direction until junior year. Do not worry. Although it's crunch time, juniors who haven't started this process would benefit from a more comprehensive and personalized review of their work in the REVIEW PROGRAM. However, they are still able to attend a prep session. Most juniors and seniors require a comprehensive portfolio review with feedback that is centered on what their dream schools look for. Below is an outline of each private consultation.
